Mr. President

I have no doubt in my mind that if Will really does want to become president one day, he will do just that. He even talks about it sometimes, mostly stemming from his fascination of the US Military and WWII.
On the way to his baseball game the other day, it was just the two of us in the car and he mentioned something about becoming president. He promptly asked Siri about the age and birth requirements for becoming the president and what do you know, in about 27 years he will be qualified for the job!
He went on to say how he would be a very nice president. But he’d have to be very strict with the military, but still nice. And he would also be funny with the military because humor goes along ways in building friendships and he wants the military to not only be friends with him, but also be friends with other countries. This way the military could more easily get along with other countries, and then we would have more allies in war.

He went on for a bit about this and that, but by this point, I had really stopped listening to the details. I was more relishing in the moment of his hopes and dreams and his future. Sure, the likelihood of him being President of the US is pretty low, but he’s an amazingly smart, talented and witty kid and I am confident that he will succeed at whatever decides to be….President (age 8), professional football player (age 7), NASCAR driver (age 6), garbage man (ages 2-4)……..
I just hope whatever he does allows him to live across the street from me!!! Or next door. Either is fine.
