I just love going to pick out a Christmas tree. Or in our case, treeS. For the last few years we do our shopping at the Farmer’s Market and we typically buy from the same guy every year. Well, ever since the bah hum bugs issue from last year, that guy is officially off the list!!!
But first, breakfast at Big Ed’s!
And then off to the Farmer’s Market! My mom ended up coming up for some weekend shopping, which included tree shopping!
Big tree and little tree!
We needed to let the trees fall out a little bit, which is really really really hard to explain to a 5 year old. We ended up not decorating them until, gasp, AFTER we got home from church on Sunday. According to Avery, you would have thought the world was ending.
We finally get started.
The big tree is 12 feet tall this year. Which required Will to stand on Matthew’s shoulders to put the angel on. Yeah……..
Avery and her friend Sydney helped with the living room tree. That’s a really crazy looking picture!!!!!!!!
Here are the semi-finished products. Two trees have lights that are messed up and I don’t think they are getting fixed this year!
I just love my Christmas card tree in the dining room!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Until Avery redecorates for like the umpteenth time each day. Basically every time I walk by the dining room table I have to re-set it the correct way as she constantly moves around the silverware, glasses, etc….
Breakfast at Big Ed's is the ultimate way to start a day..especially since you no longer have to be downtown every day for work. Yummy biscuits.
ReplyDeleteAre Matt and Will for rent? We might need them next year for a tree topping event. Too funny
and Oh my word I love the Christmas card tree idea. Madi has over 40 cards (we joined in on the blogville Card list this year.) Bryan and I have 14. LOL
Love and hugs and Happy belated bday to Matt.
