Let’s talk about Avery’s celebrations!
Right after we got back from vacation, since I was already off from work for a few days, we had her party for her friends. Avery is obsessed with puppies now and has aspirations to be a vet. Well, she did until she saw Lindy having blood drawn a few weeks ago and we may have nixed the vet idea. No worries, she also has aspirations to be a fashion designer, hair stylist and a pop star!
Her obsession for puppies led to a puppy themed party!
We made her a dog house and she and her friends had fun playing in it and moving it around, which is good because the paint alone cost big $$!!!
The puppy adoption was really cute and a lot of fun. Avery named hers “Bad” which cracks me up!
Playing around with friends!
Will and his friend Micah wrote down little dog tricks for the party goers to perform. I think Avery is playing dead in this one. Obviously Lindy is concerned!
We had a few girls leaving early for soccer so we went ahead and did the piñata. I learned my lesson at her 3rd birthday party about real piñatas and sticks, so we went with the pull string version this year!
Cake time! Happy Birthday, Avery!
And even though I try and prevent it every year, we ended up opening gifts before most people left. She got some really fun stuff, with the hit of the gifts probably being the big remote controlled monster truck that Uncle Gray and Aunt Greta gave her!
Will checks in on things with his periscope!
On Avery’s real birthday, Will had baseball practice so we decided to take the party on the road. After practice, we had a picnic of pizza and baseball cupcakes (thanks Hostess!!!) and let her open her gifts.
But not before her girls wished her a Happy Birthday!
Presents time! Will gave her a Lego set, the pooches gave her 2 books and Matt and I gave her some doggie PJs and a horse for Sunshine and Isabelle to enjoy!
