First Haircut

Someone got their first haircut yesterday!!  Well actually everyone got a haircut yesterday but dear ol' mom!  But back to our superstar of the day!  Yes, she is over 2 1/2 years old and has never had a haircut. Matt and I both have been putting it off...just one more way to keep her little forever.  But she needed to get the back of it evened up so Matt and I had to put her crazy thoughts aside and let her grow up!

I had been talking to her about getting her haircut for several weeks, hoping to avoid a screaming fit like we had with big brother. Of course he was only 14 or 15 months old when he had his first hair cut so......she had actually gone with me to get Will's haircut back in the early part of the summer. She remembered the lollipop so she was good to go.

She hopped right up in the chair and just grinned from ear to ear.  The girl loves nothing more than staring at herself in the mirror so this worked out perfectly. She giggled and made silly faces and all in all did a great job.

The boys were at the barber shop getting their hair cut that morning too and stopped in to watch on their way home.  Will and Avery both got lollipops when it was done.

The cut is really cute....really just a trim as opposed to a cut, but I think about 2 inches were taken off, which seems and looks like a lot. And unfortunately, her one curl seems to have disappeared. Sniff, sniff!!!!!
