Our first full day at Disney we went to Animal Kingdom. This is a fun park and not one that takes us a whole day to see, which is nice because that means pool time in the afternoon!!
First things first…the safari! A neat and quick way to see so many beautiful animals.
This giraffe reminds me of Lindy and how she will rest her chin anyone and sleep, regardless of what the rest of her body is doing!
Then it was coaster time! Will loves Expedition Everest!
While Avery still loved the playground, it wasn’t quite as big of a hit with her this year. It was interesting to see how things that were so popular on last year’s trip didn’t always have quite the same effect this year. Nevertheless, Avery still had a ball on the slides.
Will was finally tall enough this year for Primeval Whirl.
Meanwhile, Avery got some loving from her pals Goofy and Pluto. Pluto put Duffy in his mouth when Avery ignored him (once again) for Goofy’s attention. It was all pretty funny!
And of course we got in on a little Triceratops Spin action!
Matt and Will rode Dinosaur. Avery and I did not!!
Had to blow that one up so you could see their reactions!
Everyone is pretty pooped by this point.
But nothing a little wing span measurement can’t get you back on your feet for….
Is that even a sentence?
Finally something that talks just as much as Will.
We headed back to the hotel mid-afternoon. The Mousekeepers had visited and had some fun with the children’s “friends”. But my goodness, poor Sunshine. That just looks uncomfortable. For those of you who haven’t met Sunshine personally, her body and head are facing different directions in this picture. Her 360 degree swivel head is a little freaky. As is her lazy eye. Ha!! But we love her the mostest no matter what.
That night we hung out on the Boardwalk. Is it weird I have no recollection of giving the camera to anyone to take a picture?
A neat view of our resort from across the lake.
Early to bed for a busy day at Hollywood Studios. Stay tuned!
