In the air and around the resort!
We were fortunate to visit Disney World again for a week last month. I was never a huge Disney fan as a child or anything, but it truly is a, if not “THE”, most magical place on earth! The children have such fond, fond memories of our 2 trips and the smiles on their faces are all that matter.
Thankfully, our flight was only slightly delayed (instead of HOURS like last year). A few pics as we entertained ourselves in the airport.
We stayed at the Beach Club, which was just a gorgeous resort right next to Epcot. In fact, we had a room right across the trees from Epcot and from our room balcony we had an awesome view of the fireworks every night!
The first night we were there, we joined in on the marshmallow roast on the beach. The kids had a blast!
Will met these young ladies and they just loved him!
Even convinced the kids to pose for a few pics after dinner and dessert!
Those hands on the hips just kill me!
We had a sweet cookie surprise from an old friend as a “thank you” for helping them plan their trip! The cookies were a huge hit and super yummy!
The pool complex, Stormalong Bay, was AWESOME. It had a huge slide, a kiddie slide, a lazy river, several areas with a sandy bottom, a sinking sands part, a whirlpool section….it was so much fun!!
Will of course loved the big slide. Avery got a big idea and got all the way to the top. Matt and I were waiting at the bottom for her. And we waited. And we waited. Finally a man overheard us and said “little girl in a blue and green bikini….yeah, she turned around right before I went down the slide”. Sure enough, here comes Avery down the steps. I don’t blame her…she would have been totally freaked!
Pics of them in their goggles crack me up!
The whirlpool section.
Some of the hot tubs were behind these rocks. Come to find out, Avery loves hot tubs!
The top of the big slide Here comes Bubba!
We were just across the lake from the Boardwalk.
This balloon was perhaps one of the favorite things of the trip. And we found it in the hallway of the resort. We left it to spread a little pixie dust to the next group when we left!
The flight home…..Avery and Sunshine were worn out, asleep in my lap!
