We had a few weeks to take a break from the ball fields but it’s about time to get back on them. Will had tryouts last week and both he and Avery will start practice this week. To get back in to the swing of things, we had a fun, ball-filled weekend last weekend.
We started out with an evening game at the Mudcats. Front row seats!
Put together front row seats, big time dance moves and a brother in NEON orange and we got on the jumbotron A LOT!
Sunday afternoon after a dip in the pool we headed to “Meet the Pack” day where a lot of the fall sports players are available for pics and autographs. The football, cheerleader and dance teams were there. We got our posters…Will chose football and soccer. Avery chose volleyball (a girl after her mother’s heart!!). Only problem was the volleyball team wasn’t there, but that didn’t deter Avery. She just had the football team sign the volleyball poster. We were the hit of the afternoon.
First stop, Coach Doeren! When Avery handed him her poster, he said. “Well, this is a first for me!”. Ha! He was a good sport of course. No pun intended. Of course. :-)
Posing by the field. It’s so neat to see it empty like this.
Notice how Avery loves to pose!
We passed Mr. and Mrs. Wuf on the concourse.
Avery said hello to the cheerleading squad and dance teams. She got a face tattoo from them. Here we are a week later with daily swimming (sometimes twice a day) and daily showers and it’s still going strong! She loves it!
One of the players we met...
When we got home from the beach this weekend our football tickets were waiting for us. Just a few more weeks until kickoff!!
Go Pack!
