Well, Soccer Saturdays have started again at the Modlin household. This year will be especially crazy because Avery is playing in an organized league too, but her soccer doesn't start until after Labor Day.
We moved Will to the CASL league this year. Today was the first practice/scrimmage. He had a blast and it was good to see him running on the field again. I so do enjoy watching him play. Even if I don't know the first thing about soccer!
I think he maybe has a few more seasons under his belt than a lot of his team. He was like the assistant coach out there! Of course his bossiness made me cringe!!
Chasing the coach
Dribbling drills
Telling everyone where to go. I like how the black team is patiently listening.
Score!
Score! The funny thing after this one was Will re-enacted the slide for everyone. He was his own instant replay!
Sissy's favorite part of soccer is snacks!

Absent in August
Not sure where the month has gone but from the
looks of it, it hasn’t been spent writing marvelous blog posts. Okay, no
month is spent writing MARVELOUS blog posts.
We’ve
been busy. Really busy. Just not blog worthy busy I guess. Or more
like can’t remember to take the camera anywhere busy and if I do, can’t
find time to write the post busy. We’ve been out of town for at least
part of almost every weekend since late June. That’s tough. It’s tough
to be gone on the weekend when it is the only free time I have at my
house. Which is why it took a month to get one of my birthday presents
installed in the proper place. And it’s tough to spend those few
precious days I do get home running around town on various errands.
A few pics of some fun the past few weeks:

What's the Smell?
Only it's not just Avery asking that question this time....What's that AWFUL headache inducing, stomach curling smell you ask? Why it is this....
And what is that you ask? Why that is a dead possum. That was trapped under our A/C unit. And caused our house to smell worse than the city dump. Way worse.
The poor A/C tech almost vomited on my front porch.
Seriously. It was bad.
Thank goodness for Airmakers, Yankee Candle Co. and Lysol.
