Turkey Day Celebrations

This year was as usual, a busy Thanksgiving.  The Friday before the holiday week, the children had their Thanksgiving program and luncheon at school. Each class did a performance and we got to eat a yummy lunch of turkey, ham, macaroni and cheese (only the best I have ever had), stuffing, corn, green beans, rolls and tons of desserts.

Our next celebration was at Mimi's house where we had a fabulous dinner of surf and turf.  And ice cream sandwiches...both store bought and in Matthew's case, homemade between slices of pie!

We headed to Beaufort midweek and things sort of all went down hill from there. The first night we were there we had to put my grandmother in the hospital. All mom and I kept saying to each other was "thank goodness we ordered the meal from HT!!!" Which we will be doing again, btw!!

Even with all the craziness, we still had a good time and enjoyed a nice meal together. Someone ate too much turkey and was asleep by 6PM (more like someone and her brother didn't nap for 4 straight days while we were there).

We got back to Raleigh with a day and a half still left in the long weekend, which was SO nice. During halftime of the football game, the kids played in the leaves. They have the best dad ever!!!
